Alana & Jeremy | Pre-Wedding Family Portrait

Portrait in the woods

I love shooting Pre-Wedding portrait sessions.  I really enjoy taking a couple of hours to go for a walk in the sun (hopefully) and to spend some time getting to know the couple who’ve booked me to shoot their wedding, and hopefully for them to get to see how I work.   When I met up with Alana & Jeremy a couple of weeks ago, we thought it would be a perfect opportunity for them to bring the girls along and to make a family portrait shoot out of it.   It worked out really well as now I know a bit more about two of the bridesmaids too (I know how fast they walk when I’m trying to take pictures of them for one thing!!!!). So, we all met up at Hetchell Woods near Leeds on a lovely sunny morning and set off for a walk through the woods to take some pictures.  I brought my film camera too and took a couple of shots on that too, although you’ll have to wait a bit to see those – development, printing and scanning takes a bit of time.  It was a great day, we got some brilliant pictures, found a swing over the river (insurance company – look away for those pictures!!)  and had a good laugh as Alana practiced some of the classic catalogue poses, as you’ll be able to see. I’m sure we’re going to get some great shots at the wedding later this year.
