An Old Camera & A Roll of Film in Sheffield Pt I

Fi & I went down to Sheffield on Saturday to see some friends & family. Fiona met up with Gemma and had caught up on some gossip while I wandered round town with Fraser taking some pictures. I managed to pick up an old Leica off Ebay a while back. I say old but it was made a couple of years after I was, so we’ll say it’s an early middle aged camera. It’s got no light meter to speak of (It has one, but it doesn’t work) and the lens I’m using was made in Russia in the 1960’s, so you can only imagine what results you’re going to get off that !! The thing is, way back in the day when I, and a few people who’ll read this, used to work as photographers on cruise ships, we never used light meters – a quick squint at the sun did the trick. I’m glad to know that piece of kit is still working anyway. I’m quite pleased with the pics – let me know what you think…
