Wedding at the Hospitium in York
It’s that time of year when things on the wedding front are a little bit quieter. I’ve got a couple of weddings a month until April when it all starts up again. I thought I’d use the time wisely and get caught up on a few things, including blogging a few weddings from last year.
I met Maria & Andy for the first time in Spring last year. They told me all about their wedding at the Hospitium in York and about how they met etc. Maria is Russian and so the wedding was going to be an international affair with many of her family coming over to share the special day with them. I always like to shoot weddings in and around York and the Hospitium is an exceptional venue. Sitting right in the middle of the Museum Gardens, it’s the perfect location for photographers.
Maria & Andy started the big day off by getting ready at the Churchill hotel, just over the road from St Olaves Church. I’ve shot a wedding before at The Churchill and it’s a fantastic place with perfect light and great rooms. Once everyone was ready, it was time to head to the church. St Olaves is just outside the Museum Gardens, weddings where you can walk between locations are the best!
I’ve always enjoyed shooting at The Hospitium, it’s so photogenic, especially in Autumn.
