York Wedding | Kirsty & Jorge at Aldwark Manor

Bride & Groom at Aldwark Manor

You may remember a few weeks ago that I posted some shots of Kirsty & Jorge’s wedding at Aldwark Manor as a bit of a sneaky peek. A little something for them to have a look at before they went away on Honeymoon.   Well, here’s the full monty, as it were.

As I mentioned in the peek, we were incredibly lucky with the Yorkshire weather on the day. It poured down the day before and the day after, but for the wedding day, the sun shone down on Aldwark Manor.   I’ve not been lucky enough to shoot there before, but would definitely look forward to it if the opportunity arose again.  Aldwark is just outside York and is a tiny little village with the most amazing little church, right next to the manor.  The manor itself is surrounded by it’s golf course, so there was no problem finding locations for photographs – we just had to avoid golf balls!!

I met Kirsty and Jorge earlier this year when they were searching for a wedding photographer.  I could tell that they were a really relaxed couple and once they’d told me all about the wedding and how many of the guests would be coming from Spain, I was really looking forward to it.  The whole day had an international feel to it with guests arriving from all over Europe. Spain, the Netherlands & Italy were all well represented (especially on the dance floor later!).

The day went so well with Kirsty & Jorge and their guests (and me!!) having an amazing time. Jorge even managed to get the roof down on his car!!  I also learned a valuable lesson.  If you are going to hang an Andrea Bambridge wedding dress from the staircase, make sure that the bride’s mother doesn’t see you take it… 😉

I hope you like the photographs.

Once again, I have Google Translate to thank for the next part, I hope it makes sense:
